Dear Vodka,
This is the second real day at the babyhome.
The day we initially visited the babyhome is unspeakable. I will not even blog the details of this horrific experience of mine.
Now that it’s over, I feel the universe has spoken and what’s going on is the way it was meant to be. Quite frankly, I know in my heart of hearts, it’s for the better. The reality is this may have put me back a month.
Little Ermec (air-mic) is a little introspective Buddha. He wants nothing to do with the little stuffed lion I brought him, but will hang onto a pinecone (or four) all day long. The dude has coordination! He will grab one pinecone with one hand, another with the other hand. Then when presented with a third, he never lets go of either cone in his hand, instead reaches with an extended finger to grab two in one hand. So far he can easily manage 4 cones, two in each hand.
Then he’ll drop them one by one, only to reach over and pick it up.
He will put the two together and see if they stick.
Yep. I’m going to look for a puzzle. Doug thinks he should start on a Rubix Cube. LOL. I’m thinking he’d rather play with pinecones and bugs.
Otherwise, he doesn’t react much to anything, but he’ll watch everything. Yesterday we didn’t do much, today we had a blast with hanging on to pinecones…the entire 1+ hour visit. Cool.
Tomorrow I think we’ll try to pick up where we left off…collect some more treasures in the yard.
Meanwhile, the dude is dressed with 2 layers, 2 pr socks & a knitted hat…I think it was well over 80 degrees outside…I’m scorchin’ with a short sleeved shirt & jeans!
Next up...some pictures of my playground...(I think I'm getting the hang of this)

HE IS ADORABLE!! Wow! This is so surreal! OK, so WHY all the layers of clothes on the little guy in 80 degree weather?? How long till you get to take him home?
